UTMB Index Races 

This race is part of the UTMB Index Races.The 20 km index in Klínovec applies to the long ČSOB route. It is an international point-based ranking system for trail races. After completing the race, runners receive a UTMB Index based on the distance of the route, their performance, and placement.

Conti Speed Section

The Conti Speed Section is a 150-meter speed section on the route. Both the start and the end will be marked by Continental flags. In Klínovec, competition will take place on the Nova 11 km and ČSOB 23 km. The prize in the competition is a voucher worth 5000 CZK for the purchase of new Continental tires and a Continental running jersey.

Completion of the race is a condition for inclusion in the bonus. Each participant can only win a tyre voucher twice per season. Should he win at another race, the prize will pass to the next in line. The original winner will receive a Continental running jersey and remain in the results.

This year, we extended the finish line to 500m in cooperation with Generali investments. Generali Investments Finish is another sprint segment as a part of all adult events. The start of the sprint segment will be marked 500m infront of the finish by the FINISH banner in red colours. The "finish" itself will be the finish gauntry of the whole event. You can find your results in Generali Investment analasys on our website or in your SportID, where among other things, you can compare your results with the time of the winner.

The title of GENERALI INVESTMENTS FINISHER #1 will be awarded to the fastest male and female athlete between all distances combined and our winners will receive Craft Running T-shirt.

Bib collection always ends 30 minutes before the start of the given race. However, we recommend arriving earlier so you don't have to wait in line and can manage everything in peace!

For re-registrations, we recommend arriving at least one hour before the start of the given race!

Register

When purchasing two or more short-distance races within a single order, you will receive a discount of CZK 25 on each registration.
When purchasing two or more medium or long distance races within a single order, you will receive a discount of CZK 50 on each registration.

When purchasing 8 short-distance races for one competitor within a single order, the entry fee per race is CZK 450.
When purchasing 8 medium-distance races for one competitor within a single order, the entry fee per race is CZK 700.
When purchasing 8 long-distance races for one competitor within a single order, the entry fee per race is CZK 750.
When purchasing 8 children’s races for one competitor within a single order, the entry fee per race is CZK 150.

• Without payment of the entry fee, the registration is invalid. The entry fee must be paid on the day of registration. If the organizer does not receive the entry fee within three days of registration, the application will be cancelled.
• Until Sunday, July 5, the entry fee may be paid by bank transfer or credit card. From Monday to Wednesday (July 6–8), payment is possible by credit card only.
• Until Sunday, June 21, transferring an entry fee to another competitor or to another race is subject to a CZK 100 fee; changing the race distance is free of charge. Changes to registrations after Sunday, June 21 are subject to a CZK 200 fee, and changes to the race distance are subject to a CZK 100 fee.
• Competitors can transfer their entry fee or change their race distance automatically after logging in to their SportID account. In the “My Registrations” section, simply click the “Change Order” button. A detailed step-by-step guide is available in the “Re-registration and Entry Fee Changes” menu.
• From July 9, it will no longer be possible to transfer the entry fee to another race. Transferring the entry fee to another competitor or changing the race distance will no longer be available online but can be done on-site at the race on July 11 at the registration tent. In this case, please bring a printed copy of your original order.
• If a course (new distance) reaches full capacity, course changes will not be possible.
• Entry fees of competitors who do not participate will not be refunded. In case the race is cancelled, the entry fee is non-refundable.

The reusable Speedcup is NOT included in the entry fee. If you do not have one, it must be purchased during registration via SportID or directly on-site. We support sustainability and ecology, so our refreshment stations do not provide disposable cups; therefore, it is necessary to have your own drinking container

Part of the Běhej lesy Klínovec race is also the children's race Dr. Max for 100 m, 500 m and 1 km, intended for all children under 15 years of age.

Capacity is 300 children.

• The starts of children's races are divided according to age categories into 6 starts (the division into individual starts 1-6 is for children indicated on the start numbers)
• Competitors are automatically assigned to an age category according to their date of birth after registration.
• Competitors are automatically assigned to a given age category based on their date of birth after registering for the race. In the case of children's races, a competitor can be reassigned to an older age category based on an official request or can complete more starts. Each additional start is charged according to the currently valid price list. The official request can be sent by email (info@sportid.cz) no later than 3 days before the start of the race or in person at the place of the race at the information desk at the issue of numbers no later than 30 minutes before the start of the children's race. Later requests will not be taken into account and the competitor can only participate in the race in his category.

The race base is located in Loučná pod Klínovcem, where it offers plenty of parking options. You can pick up your race bib as early as Friday evening from 18:00 to 20:00. You can also take part in the traditional warm-up run with our route patron from 19:00. 

I am taking public transport

A great step towards nature! If you choose to do so, try to direct your journey to the nearest stop by the race base, which is called Loučná,,háj.park.

You can get to Loučná by bus from Prague (but expect 1-2 transfers) or by a combination of train and bus from nearby Chomutov.

I am driving

Super, just remember to arrive well in advance. The drive from Prague can take you approximately 2 hours, but keep the unpredictable weekend traffic in mind. An early arrival will save you stress and time, and will help us keep the event running smoothly.

If your remaining seats are empty, you can offer a carpool in a post on FB to other fellow runners – a great way to perhaps make new friendships with other runners. The same applies in the opposite case, if you are looking for a seat in someone's car.

Where to park on site?

Parking is free for competitors all day Saturday.

For the first 600 cars, parking lot P2 of the Klínovec Ski Resort will be available, within walking distance of the race base. It will be accessible from both directions – from Chomutov as well as Karlovy Vary.

If parking lot P2 is full, we will automatically redirect you to parking lot P6 near Neklid. From there, a shuttle bus will take you directly to the race base at regular intervals. Such a ride takes about 5 minutes. 

Shuttle bus - departures:

11:00 - 13:00 every 30 minutes to the race base 

13:00 - 15:00 every hour from the race base 

15:00 - 16:00 every 30 minutes from the race base 

Whatever happens, do not park outside designated areas! Fines and towing are risked for improper parking in both Loučná and Neklid.

By cable car to the start, even with your friends and family

The ride on the “Dámská” chairlift will be completely free all day from 9:00 to 16:00 for you as well as your precious company or fans! 

But how will it all take place? The mass start of the race is down below the chairlift. After the starting pistol and a symbolic mass start all participants will move to the chairlift and ride up to the very peak of Klínovec, where everyone's time will start tracking only after stepping over the starting mat. The time limit is calculated from the mass start down below the chairlift.
