... how CRAFT saved my legs, nerves, and mood
Right foot. Left foot. Instinct guides me.
In the forest, it's not about who takes off first, but who enjoys the whole ride and makes it to the finish line in one piece. Step by step, I push my way through the wilderness. My breath is short, but the trail is long. Sweat is pouring, but the thermoregulation is working overtime. (Thanks, CRAFT.)
I'm not here to prove anything to anyone. But every meter I conquer is a small victory. The best trail? Velká Fatra. A mix of beauty and pain, exactly how it should be. Slovak Paradise? Forever love. Even though it dropped out of the series, I carry the views of the Tatras in my heart (and in my camera roll). That's where I took the win, too. And my family was there for it—my wife, my little daughter, everyone."

"Preparation? No overthinking it. I run when my body lets me. Out in the forest, I just enjoy it, I don't force anything. Rest is a weapon. And I don't always manage to reload it before the starting line—but oh well."
On my feet?
CRAFT Pure Trail X
"Solid, yet agile. Downhills? I love them. And these shoes have my back. The grip holds firm, my toes are safe, and my ankles feel like they're wrapped in clouds. The only thing missing for absolute perfection is for them to carry me themselves."
What to wear?
CRAFT Pure Trail X
"The feeling of wearing nothing at all—but in the best possible way. Nothing pinches, nothing chafes, everything breathes. Just a forest ninja. For training, racing, or even just running to the store for some bread. Comfort isn't a luxury. It's an absolute necessity. Because when you're grinding up 600 vertical meters and pushing your limits, the last thing you want to deal with is blisters, black toenails, or your shorts sticking to your skin."
And my goals?
"A hug from my wife. My daughter’s laughter. If a win comes with it, awesome. But if not—no worries. For me, the real victory is just being able to run. That I get to discover the beauty of Slovakia through the Běhej lesy series. Whether on my own, or with a camera in hand for the other runners."
What drives me forward?
"The fact that I'm not getting any younger. That I want to hold on to my health and the joy of running for years to come. Faster times? Sure. But not at the cost of getting injured or burning out. When I can, I just switch off my brain. When I can't—I just breathe and run. Because every single 'right, left' is worth it."
