UTMB Index Races

This race is part of the UTMB Index Races.The 20 km index at Karlštejn applies to the long ČSOB route. It is an international point-based ranking system for trail races. After completing the race, runners receive a UTMB Index based on the distance of the route, their performance, and placement.

Conti Speed Section

The Conti Speed Section is a 150-meter speed section on the route. Both the start and the end will be marked by Continental flags. At Karlštejn, competition will take place on the Nova Sport 12 km and ČSOB 18 km. The prize in the competition is a voucher worth 5000 CZK for the purchase of new Continental tires and a Continental running jersey.

Completion of the race is a condition for inclusion in the bonus. Each participant can only win a tyre voucher twice per season. Should he win at another race, the prize will pass to the next in line. The original winner will receive a Continental running jersey and remain in the results.

This year, we extended the finish line to 500m in cooperation with Generali investments. Generali Investments Finish is another sprint segment as a part of all adult events. The start of the sprint segment will be marked 500m infront of the finish by the FINISH banner in red colours. The "finish" itself will be the finish gauntry of the whole event. You can find your results in Generali Investment analasys on our website or in your SportID, where among other things, you can compare your results with the time of the winner.

The title of GENERALI INVESTMENTS FINISHER #1 will be awarded to the fastest male and female athlete between all distances combined and our winners will receive Craft Running T-shirt.

*When purchasing 4 or more races (Nova Sport short / ČSOB long) within one order, the price per entry fee is only CZK 650.
*When purchasing 4 or more PENNY.runs within one order, the price per entry fee is only CZK 475.
*When purchasing 4 or more children's races within one order, the price per entry fee is only CZK 125.

• Without payment of the registration fee, the application is invalid. The registration fee must be paid on the day of application submission. If the organizer does not receive the registration fee within three days of registration, the application will be canceled.

• Until Sunday, April 6, payment can be made by bank transfer or card. From Monday to Wednesday (April 7–April 9), payment is only available by card.

• Until Monday, March 24, the transfer of the registration fee to another participant or another race is subject to a 100 CZK fee, while changing the course is free of charge. Registration changes after Monday, March 24, incur a 200 CZK fee, while changing the course incurs a 100 CZK fee.

• You can transfer the registration fee or change your course automatically by logging into your SportID account. In the "My Applications" section, simply click on the "Modify Order" button. A step-by-step guide can be found in the menu under: Registration transfer and changes.

• From April 10, it is no longer possible to transfer the registration fee to another race. Transferring the registration fee to another participant or changing the course can only be done on-site at the race on April 12 at the registration tent. In this case, please bring a printed copy of the original order.

• Fees for participants who do not attend the race will not be refunded. In the event the race is canceled, the registration fee is non-refundable.

The entry fee does NOT include a reusable Speedcup. If you do not have one (or you are not one of the first 250 incoming runners), you must purchase one when you register in SportID. We support sustainability and ecology, so you will not find disposable cups at our refreshment stations, but you must have your own container.

The issue of numbers always ends 30 minutes before the start of the race. However, we recommend arriving early so you don't have to wait in line and can catch everything in peace!

We recommend to arrive at the registration of new competitors and re-registration at least one hour before the start of the race!

Part of the Běhej lesy Karlštejn race is also the children's race Dr. Max for 100 m, 500 m and 1 km, intended for all children under 15 years of age.

Capacity is 450 children.

• The starts of children's races are divided according to age categories into 6 starts (the division into individual starts 1-6 is for children indicated on the start numbers)
• Competitors are automatically assigned to an age category according to their date of birth after registration.
• Competitors are automatically assigned to a given age category based on their date of birth after registering for the race. In the case of children's races, a competitor can be reassigned to an older age category based on an official request or can complete more starts. Each additional start is charged according to the currently valid price list. The official request can be sent by email (info@sportid.cz) no later than 3 days before the start of the race or in person at the place of the race at the information desk at the issue of numbers no later than 30 minutes before the start of the children's race. Later requests will not be taken into account and the competitor can only participate in the race in his category.

TRAIN AND SHUTTLE BUS

This year, we have arranged bus transport for you to the Běhej lesy Karlštejn race start in Bubovice. We will take you from the train station in Karlštejn to the start, and after the race, we will take you back to the train station. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes and will connect with train departures and arrivals. In case of a train delay, the bus will wait at the station. This service is completely FREE for runners. If you would like to use the shuttle bus, it is important to complete booking form by Thrusday or before the full capacity is reached.

We would also like to inform you, that one completed form equals one seat in the shuttle bus, therefore please make sure you complete the booking form the right amount of times. Unfortunately, without a booking form we are not able to garantuee a spot in the shuttle bus.

CAR AND PARKING

If you decide to travel by car, please arrive as early as possible and use one of three official parking lots provided. The earlier you arrive the closer to the event village you will be able to park. The event village is located near Bobovice village. 

If the full capacity of all three parking lots is reached, the backup parking lot will be used. The parking lot is located approximately 1.5km from the event village and the shuttle bus will be operating between event village and backup parking.
